The Suzani Flower Medallion Stencil by Gwen Lafleur was inspired by displays of traditional floral Suzani patterns in a museum she visited in Bukhara, Uzbekistan. Suzanis are traditional hand-embroidered textiles found in Uzbekistan and throughout Central Asia, and they’re full of beautiful patterns and motifs, especially floral and medallion designs. This lacy and detailed stencil can be used as an embroidery pattern, but it’s also ideal for art journaling, mixed media, handmade cards and tags, and more.
